Hook:  debarbed – sizes 10 thru 16 – 2X long nymph hook Mustad 9671, TMC 5262, etc.
Thread: 8/0 dark brown or black
Weight:  (optional) lead wire – 8 to 10 wraps of .020, .015, or .010 – according to hook size
Tail:  short bunches of soft hackle tips, marabou or ostrich
Body:  olive/black, dark rust or black dubbing– to match naturals
Rib:  gold wire, silver wire or clear mono
Center Stripe: (optional) 3/0 white monocord or dental floss
Wing Pad:  black quill fibers or spooled black antron
Thorax: same as body

Legs:  short reddish brown or black soft hackle fibers tied in on flanks

*Always match imitation to natural in body shape, size and color*
